La Mer is one of the more stable seafood restaurants in Hawaii. The atmosphere is more casual and does not engage in fancy dishes. Hawaiian specialties common on the menu, such as grilled fish with tropical fruit sauce and garlic shrimp, do not have to worry about the freshness of the ingredients. If you're going to Oahu or the Big Island and want to have a meal of non-thunder seafood, it's a good idea to stop by. The price is mid-range in the local area, so it won't hurt too much.
